Hilaria Baldwin has returned to social media and thrown some further light on the controversy surrounding her Spanish heritage which has turned into a saga she would rather forget.

Hilaria Baldwin Returns To Social Media And Reveals All On Spanish Heritage Scandal

In a frank and emotional reveal, she told her fans how she has been self-reflecting: “I’ve spent the last month listening, reflecting, and asking myself how I can learn and grow. My parents raised my brother and me with two cultures, American and Spanish, and I feel a true sense of belonging to both.

“The way I’ve spoken about myself and my deep connection to two cultures could have been better explained – I should have been more clear, and I’m sorry. I’m proud of the way I was raised, and we’re raising our children to share the same love and respect for both.”

Being vulnerable and pushing ourselves to learn and grow is what we’ve built our community on, and I hope to get back to the supportive and kind environment we’ve built together.” But Hilaria initially defended her stance: “Who is to say what you’re allowed to absorb and not absorb growing up? This has been a part of my whole life. And I can’t make it go away just because some people don’t understand it.”

Sources ,though, revealed just how hard the scandal impacted Hilaria: “She’s completely upset that people are saying that she lied. This has been such a nightmare for her. … The part that’s extremely frustrating to her is the contention that she lied when that is just not the case.”

Nevertheless, she has been backed by other stars including Salma Hayek. When speaking to Andy Cohen, she went on to say: “Oh my God, that is crazy. All of my friends ask me, ‘Did you hear about this? Oh my God, she lied!’ We all lie a little bit. [Hilaria] makes my friend [Alec] happy. She feels me because she’s such a good mother. She has five [kids], and you know, I don’t care. I’m sorry, I don’t mean to betray or hurt anybody’s feelings, and I don’t know if it’s right or if it’s wrong. I’m not going to judge somebody just because of that one thing.”

It is good to see Hilaria moving on. If you enjoyed reading this article, then make sure you check out our other features on the Daily Soap Dish. Please also visit TVRocker for all of the latest exciting news on all of your favourite daytime television soaps.
