As a matter of fact, one royal expert believes that if it weren’t for Kate Middleton, Prince William might possibly have been in a different place today. Here’s what you need to know.

According to the Daily Mail, royal expert Angela Levin believes Kate Middleton deserves the credit in helping her husband be the man – and the future King of England – that he is today.

British Royal Family News: Did Kate Middleton ‘Save’ Prince William After Princess Diana’s Death?

She says that it was Kate and their relationship that helped William from going down a different path in his life.

“I think it was very difficult for him coming out of a dysfunctional family, losing his mum so young and I think he was in a very difficult place,” she explained. “[Kate] has really encouraged him. Her whole life is to make him happy, I think. She found things that really make him feel important and worthy rather than just going to cut ribbons. I think she has helped him to be a husband by introducing him to her own family a lot and spending time with a normal family and being a dad.”

Meanwhile, another report suggests Prince William has definitely ‘chilled’ in recent months and that is certainly a good thing.

The source close to the situation has said, “William has quite a temper and could fly off the handle at the slightest thing. His father was wary of making matters worse.’ Yet William is much more secure in his role as Prince of Wales-in-waiting. Consulted much more by his father, he has immersed himself in the workings of the Duchy of Cornwall, which funds the public, charitable and private activities of the Prince of Wales and extends across 23 counties in England and Wales.”

With that said, the source went on to say that a key factor in Prince William and Prince Charles’ maturing relationship is the fact that they were on the same page about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s move to California and how they both believed that a “one foot in the door and one foot out” approach didn’t make sense for anyone.

The insider continued, “A key factor in the two men’s maturing relationship, of course, has been Harry’s move to California. Charles’s initial inclination was to try to make a half-in/ half-out Royal role work for Harry and Meghan. But ultimately he united with William and the Queen, who, at the so-called Sandringham Summit to discuss the crisis in January last year, told the Sussexes that a hybrid option would not work.”
