Britney Spears’ Father Jamie Spears Insists He’s Not A Villain – ‘Framing Britney’ Conservatorship Update

Britney Spears’ father Jamie Spears wants everyone to know that he is not a villain. In fact, Jamie’s attorney recently opened up about his conservatorship over his daughter and that the only thing he’s ever wanted for Britney is for her to be happy.

In fact, the attorney also hints that it was perhaps Jamie Spears who helped save the pop star’s life. Here’s what you need to know.

According to reports, Jamie’s attorney Vivian Thoreen has spoken out to deny the allegations made that he is controlling his daughter’s life and finances. He is in charge of both her business and personal decisions.

Speaking to Good Morning America in a new interview, Thoreen says that people have it wrong in thinking that Jamie is the villain here.

“This is a story about a fiercely loving, dedicated and loyal father who rescued his daughter from a life-threatening situation,” she explained. “People were harming her and exploiting her. Jamie saved Britney’s life.”

Jamie took over his famous daughter’s finances, she allegedly had a mere $2.8 million in the bank. Since taking over her finances, Britney Spears’ earnings have since grown and she now has an alleged $60 million in assets.

“Britney’s assets were clearly being mismanaged,” Thoreen continued. “She was being taken advantage of by some of those around her.

“He has collaborated with her,” she shared. “When she is up for performing, she performs. When she wants to record an album, she records an album and when she wants to live her life like a normal person he has collaborated with her on that.”

Earlier this month is was reported that  Jamie Spears and Bessemer Trust Co. will continue their co-conservatorship over the chart topper. According to reports, a Los Angeles judge has sided with Britney Spears’ legal team in giving a third party equal power to her father in managing the 39-year-old pop star’s finances.

But Judge Brenda Penny ordered her father and financial company Bessemer Trust to work together on a budget and investment plan for the singer. Jamie Spears had objected to the ruling, as this lessens his control over the state.
