British Royal Family: Prince Philip ‘Likely To Remain In Hospital’ After Being Admitted This Week

British Royal Family News find that Prince Philip is likely to remain in hospital after being admitted in order to monitor his health. This would be another blow for the Royals, in addition to the Prince Harry and Meghan Markle saga.

British Royal Family News: Prince Philip ‘Likely To Remain In Hospital’ After Being Admitted This Week

Royal correspondent Omid Scobie confirmed the news on his Twitter. He tweeted: “Following consultation with his doctor [Prince Philip] is likely to remain in [the] hospital for observation and rest over the weekend and into next week. As we have said previously, the doctor is acting with an abundance of caution. The Duke remains in good spirits.”

The Prince had been admitted this week as a precaution. An official statement at the time said: “The Duke of Edinburgh will remain in the hospital, on a doctor’s recommendation, for a few days.” This should come as no surprise given that Philip has been hospitalised in the past and most recent as 2019. In another precautionary measure, Philip was admitted, and the following statement was released:

“The Duke of Edinburgh travelled from Norfolk this morning to the King Edward VII Hospital in London for observation and treatment in relation to a preexisting condition. The admission is a precautionary measure, on the advice of His Royal Highness’ doctor.”

Philip’s health has been causing widespread concern amongst the Royals, and this caused one Royal, Harry, to express his concern. In an interview with BBC Breakfast in 2020, Harry opened up on how the strain of Philip’s health is worrying him: “Obviously, I think very carefully about my grandparents, who are at the age they’re at, and we’re doing everything we can to make sure that they’re isolated away and protecting them.”

And Queen Elizabeth II has had Philip by her side and he has been crucial to the Royal’s success. During a previous statement on Philip, she said : “He is someone who doesn’t take compliments easily. He has, quite simply, been my strength and stay all these years, and I, and his whole family, and this and many other countries, owe him a debt greater than he would ever claim, or we shall ever know.”

We will just have to see if his health will improve. If you enjoyed reading this article, then make sure you check out our other features on the Daily Soap Dish. Please also visit TVRocker for all of the latest exciting news on all of your favourite daytime television soaps.
