When speaking to Us Weekly, Lauren went on to talk about the methods she used to get her through the pregnancy: “I did ovulation tracking. Doing that was great because I learned what my cycle was, but it also stressed us out a time. After that, I was like, ‘All right, fine. I either need to stop using them or just not tell you about the results of the ovulation test.’ And that seemed to work a lot better for us.”

She also revealed that she tried natural products: “I was like, ‘Oh, whatever, this might work. It might not, but I’m not going to put all my eggs in that basket. So, I started using it and little did we know that month we got pregnant. And I was like, ‘Oh, my gosh, this stuff is gold. It worked.'”

The star, though, spoke about how her fertility struggles were out of the blue. She revealed it was not something in the family as both her aunt and mother had no fertility issues. And naturally, it took Lauren by surprise. She told Us Weekly: “It was never something that was popped into my head as a problem. And then obviously we had Alessi [with] were no issues there.

“Then we had the miscarriage, which was shocking. And then we had six months of trying to conceive again after that when everyone’s saying you’re the most fertile after you have a miscarriage. For us, that wasn’t true.” Added to that, the pregnancy itself was very tough too. Speaking on it last year, she said:

“Second trimester here we go! Today I was putting your sister, [Alessi], to sleep and one of you was kicking her in the back. I was so excited that I ran out and told your dad right away. Today was the first day I woke up and didn’t feel nauseous, so knowing that you’re moving around in there put my mind at ease. This week we had an ultrasound, and I have to say one of you is very active, and the other seems to prefer to take it easy.“I can’t wait to see if that’s how your little personalities are.”

It is good to see the couple happy. If you enjoyed reading this article, then make sure you check out our other features on the Daily Soap Dish. Please also visit TVRocker for all of the latest exciting news on all of your favourite daytime television soaps.
