British Royal News Family : Prince Philip Hospitalized

As many royal fans already know, Prince Philp retired from his public duties back in 2017 and is rarely seen in public these days.

This hasn’t been the first time that Prince Philip has been hospitalized in recent years. He also had a short stay at a London hospital back in December of 2019 for a pre-existing condition.

A rep from Buckingham Palace released a statement then that said, “The Duke of Edinburgh traveled from Norfolk this morning to the King Edward VII hospital in London for observation and treatment in relation to a pre-existing condition. The admission is a precautionary measure, on the advice of His Royal Highness’ Doctor.”

Earlier last month, it was reported that both Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip had received their Covid-19 vaccines. “The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh have today received COVID-19 vaccinations,” the palace said in a statement.

The Queen is 94 years old and Philip is 99, putting them in the priority category in Britain’s coronavirus vaccine rollout. Those aged over 80 in the UK are among the high-priority groups who are being given the vaccine first.

Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip have been spending the lockdown in England at their Windsor Castle home after deciding to have a quiet Christmas at their Berkshire residence, instead of the traditional royal family gathering at Sandringham.

A royal source said the vaccines were administered by a household doctor at the queen’s Windsor Castle residence, adding that she made the news public to counter any speculation.
