’90 Day Fiancé’ spoilers have found that romance is dead. And buried. Or at least, is the case when it comes to Yara and Jovi’s engagement story.
In a bonus scene from last week’s 90 Day Fiancé, Yara revealed the proposal story to Jovi’s mother, Gwen and Aunt Renette while out for coffee but there was no need to reach for the tissues.

Instead of seeing Jovi on bended knee , presenting a surprise ring and asking “Will you marry me?” pregnant Yara took the reins, telling Jovi it was time and choosing the ring he was to buy her. As he gave her the ring Jovi said, “I’m not sure if I really want to marry you.”

It was pretty obvious the idea to get married was borne from the fact that the two were about to become parents. However, after a tragic miscarriage could have completely changed the couple’s future, the two remained engaged and successfully applied for the K1 visa.
Yara showed off the ring she wears on her right hand. She told Jovi’s mom and aunt that it is the Russian custom and wearing the ring on the left hand is usually for widowers. As Aunt Renette oohed and ahhed over the rock, Yara further explained that she had to shop for the ring herself.
“If Jovi picked out the ring on his own taste, I would never like it,” she told the camera, “because Jovi doesn’t have ANY good taste”.
Yes, we all remember you describing your fiancé as having ‘swamp taste’, Yara, and many viewers still believe this extends to his taste in women.
It seems Gwen is one of those unsure about Yara, especially as Yara is digging in her heels about having a Vegas wedding rather than a big reception. Honestly, you can’t blame the girl for not wanting to have a big wedding and without any of her friends or family in attendance, but Mama Gwen isn’t backing down, either.
