Miley Cyrus has had a torrid end to the first week of 2021, with the latest revelation that her dog has sadly had to be put down. So why was that? Unfortunately, it had been diagnosed with cancer for more than a year.
Miley Cyrus: The Star Has Her Dog Put Down In A Traumatic Experience
When addressing the issue, Miley said:“I was told it’d be an uncertain amount of time until she’s gone. Advised to spend every second savouring her special spirit… which wasn’t anything new. I had been for ten years.” So how did the star respond to such bad news?
Well, in an emotional tribute posted on Instagram, Miley left the following caption:“MJ was diagnosed with cancer over a year ago …. & since then multiple types and tumours. I was told it’d be an uncertain amount of time until she’s gone. Advised to spend every second savouring anything new. I had been for ten years.”

But the dog was more than just an animal but a further reminder of Miley’s past. After all, MJ was adopted by Miley and her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth. And the memories continue to hold deep as the singer made further posts on social media:
“In life, it is easy to take things for granted. To let little miracles pass you by without moments of gratitude. To be oblivious when the rays of heaven shine down onto you. “But when it came to my ANGEL Mary Jane… never once did I forget the gift I had been given. [Mary Jane was] “more than a friend or family member.” “[She is] free of any pain. She is no longer hurting but I am. That’s what love is. I love you more than I can say….. 5evr.”
Miley is no stranger to seeing death when it comes to her close animals. In 2015, her previous dog, Floyd died after being attacked by a coyote. Further to that, she had also lost her pet fish named, Pablo. But one thing for sure is that Miley will bounce back.
And if her other setbacks—her divorce to Liam— are anything to go by, she will be fine; she is now happily getting back into her music career. If you enjoyed reading this article, then check out our other features on the Daily Soap Dish.
