Armie Hammer In Serious Trouble, Investigated By The Police In The Cayman Islands

Could this year get any worse for Armie Hammer? Possibly so as there is a new report that says the Hollywood actor is being investigated by the Cayman Island Police over a Miss Cayman video scandal. The father-of-two says that he is “genuinely sorry” for the incident. Here’s what you need to know.

The disgraced actor is being interviewed by police in the Cayman Islands for posting a suggestive Instagram video of a woman he says was Miss Cayman. The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) confirmed in a press release on Wednesday that it received a complaint about the incident and followed up on it.

“On January 15, 2021, the RCIPS received an allegation of misuse of ICT in relation to a suggestive video which had been posted on social media. Officers investigated the matter and spoke to the suspect, who was warned about his conduct, in accordance with the wishes of the complainant,” the statement reads.

The RCIPS confirms “the matter is now closed.”

Earlier this month, Armie started trending on Twitter  after a series of screenshots showing graphic messages he’d allegedly penned to a woman were leaked by the anonymous, now-private Instagram account, House of Effie.

The messages, said to be sent between 2016 and February 2020, include conversations about BDSM, in addition to numerous sexual references to cannibalistic acts and blood-sucking.

Armie, of course, denied the validity of the texts. He released a statement that said, “I’m not responding to these bullsh*t claims but in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot in good conscience now leave my children for 4 months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic. Lionsgate is supporting me in this, and I’m grateful to them for that.
