When speaking to their fans on Instagram, Lauren posted the picture below. The couple can be seen holding a pink and blue balloon alongside their child with the caption: “Alessi is getting a baby BROTHER & a baby SISTER. “We couldn’t be more excited! BOY! GIRL! How did we get so lucky @laurenluyendyk?! So excited to meet the @luyendyktwins.”

But the journey to reaching this point was not an easy one. Lauren told Us Weekly, the struggles she had experienced in trying to conceive: “This will be our second month(trying for a child) I was always afraid that it wouldn’t work. I think that’s kind of a valid fear if you’ve gone through something like that or just a fear of having to go through it again.

“So that’s scary, but you can’t really think of all the scary things you just have to move on.” And once she did get pregnant, things were not any easier: “I was sick with Alessi 8-12 weeks, but nothing like what it’s been this time. I was nauseous starting at six weeks and still am every day now.

“I take Unisom and B6 every night for it, but I think it wears off around 3 p.m. [because] that’s when I start to feel sick again most days. I am also turned off by most foods, so I’ve tried forcing myself to eat stuff to make the nausea go away (don’t recommend lol).”

But things began to improve down to the support she had from Arie and others: “It’s hard to know what to say right now. I’ve been crying on and off for the past three months. Right now is no different. So so grateful.”

With things going so great, it puts an end to the recent rumours that the two were on the verge of splitting. At the time Lauren found them funny, to say the least: “Have separated. I meannnnn if you count the 3 hours we separated for him to go dirt biking last weekend, yeah we’ve ‘separated.”
