‘Welcome to Plathville’ spoilers indicate that Ethan and Oliva Plath are now in the process of buying their first house. They didn’t say where it is, but it’s definitely outside of Cairo. Olivia said that she wanted to be somewhere where there was more culture than Cairo and where people were more open-minded.
Again, not sure where this house is located by Olivia said that it would definitely tick a lot of the boxes that they’re searching for, so there’s that. It was a really cute house too, a single level, completely fenced and with a cute little yard, even though Ethan said that it was entirely too small and he would be done with the yard work within a couple of hours on weekends and wouldn’t know what to do with himself, to which Olivia pointed to herself. Ha!

Seriously though, I felt sorry for Ethan because he didn’t want to sell his first home, and he was worried about not having enough space for all the cars that he wants to work on. I don’t think Olivia is worried about that, though.
I think Olivia is worried about moving up in the world and moving on from Kim and Barry and ultimately having privacy away from them. While I do get that, I also get what Ethan wanted as well. The first home will always hold a special place, because it was the first home where he was an independent adult.
The first home where he and Olivia spent time as a married couple, he probably thought that the first house that he lived in outside his childhood home would probably be the last house he lived in.

However, this home seemed to tickle Ethan’s fancy as well, and he liked it, so he gave the go-ahead to call the bank and see just what they could do about acquiring that cute little home. I’m glad they found a home that they could both agree on on the first try, and I’m glad it looked as good as it did.
Sometimes first homes can be tricky, they’ll tick all the boxes except for one, and then for the duration of your stay in that home, that’s all that you can think about. In fact, Ethan and Olivia’s new home seemed pretty perfect. But is it? Stay tuned!!!
