‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers find that if there’s one thing that fans can agree with Sasha Calle on (actually make that Y&R fans and millions of people from all over the world), it’s that we would all love to go back to a time in which it wasn’t required that we had to wear masks and both social distancing and PPE were not part of our daily vocabulary.
Sasha, who plays Lola Rosales on the hit CBS soap, recently admitted that adjusting to the safety measures at the studio because of Covid has been a disconcerting experience. Here’s what she has to say.

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, the beautiful brunette puts it this way, “We have to wear face masks at all times, even for rehearsals, which took some adapting, and we take them off just before going in front of the cameras. It’s definitely challenging. And you can’t even walk toward the other person in your scene because you will have to be 6 feet apart. Your instinct is to be near that person and hug them but you can’t, so it’s weird.”
Sasha also said that not being able to congregate away from the set has certainly added another layer of difficulty, especially when it came to rehearsing. Thankfully, she and her co-stars have managed to find a creative way to run their lines together.
The actress continued, “Before, we could meet in a dressing room or in a hallway, but not anymore. That makes it hard for running lines. You have a few minutes of that during blocking but that’s not enough for me, so I started FaceTiming with people. It’s different but it gets the job done.”
