‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers: Annika Noelle Reveals Hope’s Deep Connection To Thomas

‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers say that one of the reasons why Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) refuses to close the chapter in her life with the manipulative and quite deceitful Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) is because she has such a deep connection with his son, Douglas Forrester (Henry Samiri), who she obviously doesn’t want to let go of.

While not all fans thought it was wise of Hope to continue sharing custody of Douglas with Thomas, Annika Noelle sees otherwise.

“She saw a lot of unstable, dangerous behavior [in Thomas],” Noelle explained to Soaps In Depth in a new interview, adding, “and the effects it had on Douglas. Hope never fell in love with Thomas, but she did fall in love with his son and wanted to protect him. Getting custody was a way to ensure she would always be able to do that.”

As many fans can recall, at the time of her decision to adopt Douglas, Hope was in a committed relationship with Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), who is also related to Douglas.

So it only made sense for Hope to take care of the young boy as if he were own, even though creepy Thomas Forrester was trying to control all aspects of her life.

“Caroline was Liam’s cousin,” Noelle pointed out. “I think people sometimes forget that. Basically, the adoption was a way for her to be involved in Douglas’ life and makes sure she has a legal standing to ensure he’s safe.”
