Miley Cyrus Says There Was Overwhelming Conflict In Failed Marriage To Liam Hemsworth On ‘The Howard Stern Show’

Miley Cyrus is once again going on the record to explain why her marriage to her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth simply didn’t work out.

Speaking to The Howard Stern Show in a new interview, Miley discussed how after she and Liam lost their home in Malibu, Calif. to a wildfire might have pushed their relationship in the wrong direction. The two ended up tying the knot shortly after.

Recalling that moment in her life, Miley said, “In trying to put that back together, instead of going, ‘Oh, nature kind of did something I couldn’t do for myself; it forced me to let go,’ I ran toward the fire.”

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth had a brief marriage in the beginning of 2018 after spending several years dating on and off again.

Miley Cyrus Says There Was Too Much Conflict In Her Marriage To Liam Hemsworth

“You’re attracted to that heat, and me being an intense person and not wanting to sit with it, and not wanting to go, you know, ‘What could be purposeful about this?’ I just clung to what I had left of that house, which was me and him,” said the star.

She added: “And I really do and did love him very, very, very much and still do, always will.”

Miley also made it no secret that there was simply too much conflict for the two of them to remain happy in a committed marriage.

The singer and actress further explained, “When I come home, I want to be anchored by someone. I don’t get off on drama or fighting. Sometimes you miss people more than others, and sometimes, things get easier. Time kind of heals all, but that was at a time where I felt really strong. And then some days I don’t.”

So far Liam Hemsworth himself has not responded to Miley’s comments about the demise of their marriage.
