RHOBH’s Lisa Vanderpump Is Not Shutting Down Her L.A. Restaurant!

Los Angeles is going to stay PUMPed. At least, for now. Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump says that her L.A. restaurant PUMP is not shutting down but instead will be temporarily closing its doors due to the new restrictions that have been put in place by California Governor Gavin Newsom for restaurants in Los Angeles.

All dining establishments must only operate by take-out orders as both indoor and outdoor dining is banned to help curb the spread of Covid-19.  Here’s what you need to know.

After there was some speculation that Lisa would be shutting down her L.A. hotspot after rental company was spotted outside her venue, sources close to the former reality television star say that’s not the case at all. One source told Us Weekly that Pump is not shutting down anytime soon.

“The restaurant has been putting up tarp and coverings to prepare for the rain that usually comes in this time of the year. They are moving tables around to be able to keep patrons six feet apart with the outdoor dining,” the insider said.

Meanwhile, the brunette beauty went on the record to slam California Governor Gavin Newsome for “hypocrisy at its finest” and says that he should be held accountable after he was caught dining at Napa Valley hotspot French Laundry without a mask on amid a stay-at-home order.

After it was announced that Newsom would be pulling the plug on in-person dining in Los Angeles, Lisa responded in a tweet that said, “Don’t do as I do, do as I say.”

When one person wrote, “Wow super disappointing to see you use your platform in this way,” Lisa responded with, “Did you not see him at French Laundry? Hypocrisy at its finest.”

Of course, it didn’t take long for both fans and critics to weigh in on the matter, with many of them taking to social media to write, “LVP has every right to be frustrated. I don’t think saying I’m human is good enough when you are leading during a pandemic that requires so much sacrifice from the public. We’ve had issues here with politicians and judges breaking lockdown rules and they are generally required to step down. It’s not about whether you can, but about whether you should.”

Another critic wrote, “The unbelievable part of him eating inside, 8 different households (breaks two written restrictions) is he was eating with the medical and health leaders of California and medical lobbyists. The very people that have been speaking out on the Covid epidemic in the state, so it was not just the Governor but health care leaders in the state. You can’t make this stuff up. Not to beat a dead horse, next week all the state officials making these decisions to close restaurants and businesses they still have their pay checks coming so it effects them differently. It is once again the thousands of waiters, bartenders, waitresses, restaurants owners, valet parkers that are losing their pay checks.”
