’90 Day Fiancé’ spoilers finds that that Deavan had discovered that she was pregnant again. While she and Jihoon were not financially stable enough for another baby, after the initial shock and fear, Deavan was excited about it.
She said that children are a blessing and that even if they were in a questionable financial position that she was willing to put all her effort into raising this child. However, it looks like things were just not meant to be.
’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: Deavan’s miscarriage
When the doctors did the ultrasound, instead of hearing the child’s first heartbeats, or growth measurements, the doctors told them news that every Mother dreads, that they had lost the baby and Deavan had had a miscarraige.
You could see the pain in Deavan’s voice as she described this moment. Jihoon was notably quieter as he made his wife soup and helped take care of their baby, however he didn’t seem too emotional. He did say that the soup was for Deavan’s benefit and that seaweed soup was good for women and had many minerals in it. He’s not lying, seaweed does have a lot of protein in it, and after having a miscarriage, extra protein isn’t a bad thing to have.
Deavan said that this made her see that all the petty fights that she and Jihoon had been having just weren’t worth it and now, post-miscarriage things were better between them. Now, we all know that things obviously went downhill between them, but this is not uncommon for couples that have suffered the loss of a child.
While Deavan and Jihoon’s problems certainly did not start with the loss of their baby, the miscarriage certainly didn’t help matters either. Lots of couples break up after the loss of a child, so now that we know how the story ends, these pieces are suddenly starting to make a lot more sense.
After losing a child, of course Deavan would be a lot more protective of the children that she already has. Since Jihoon didn’t seem to be all that emotional over the loss of the child, it would stand to reason that maybe he had some unresolved anger toward the situation and perhaps, in the end, ended up taking that out on little Drasilla.
That does not make anything he did okay by any means, but somewhere in there might be an explanation. Whatever the case may be, the loss of a chid is still sad and traumatic, our hearts go out to Deavan and Jihoon.
