WWE News: Adam Cole And Velveteen Dream Injured, Vince McMahon Breaks Up Tag Team

There were a number of interesting stories making the rounds on social media last night for WWE fans to digest. One of the most intriguing stories centred on injuries that have been sustained by two of the top talents on NXT.

It comes as a hammer blow for WWE fans, as they may have believed that the two stars that are now out injured may have been two of the stars that could have been in line for a call up to the main roster during the WWE Draft, which begins on SmackDown this week. The injuries could also have implications on other superstars that could have been part of the draft.

WWE News: Huge NXT Injuries

The two superstars that sustained the injuries were Adam Cole and Velveteen Dream. Both NXT talents have been rumoured to be among those that could have been about to be called up to the main roster this coming week. The official announcement was made on social media, and both superstars picked up the injuries during the recent TakeOver event.

It was revealed that Cole’s injury was sustained after the beatdown that he took at the hands of Ridge Holland. The segment was one of the standout events from the event and occurred after Finn Balor successfully defended his NXT Championship against Kyle O’Reilly.

Meanwhile, it was also revealed in the same statement that Velveteen Dream also suffered an injury at the end, as it was revealed that he had a wrist injury. The statement revealed that he picked up the injury during the match against Kushida.

WWE News: McMahon Breaks Up Tag Team

The news of the injuries from NXT wasn’t the only big news that WWE broke this week, as it was also reported on social media that Vince McMahon has now called time on one of the tag teams competing on Raw.

It was revealed that Andrade and Angel Garza would be going in their separate ways after they failed to win the Raw Tag Team Championships against the Street Profits.

The group has slowly been falling apart over the past couple of weeks, as Zelina Vega had already decided to compete in singles action. Now, it would appear that the group is no more.

There are two possible options for the WWE now, as they could engage in a programme between Andrade or Garza, or send them to separate brands in the draft.
