UFC News: Dominant Win Could See Title Opportunity
MMA fans were delighted to see Holm back to near her best in the fight. Holm’s dominance in the bantamweight division was called into question before the fight, with some even predicting that her time in the UFC was coming to an end.
However, her refusal to be a stepping stone for emerging talents means that she could be best placed for a title opportunity. Holm’s win wasn’t the only huge success on the card, as there was also a big win for Carlos Felipe in the co-main event.
Felipe had been in excellent form heading into the fight, and he showcased his best form once again to improve his record to 9-1. Yorgan De Castro had no way to combat the dominant performance for Felipe, and that defeat means that his record is now 6-2.
