It took several attempts, but Kanye West finally made it onto Joe Rogan’s podcast, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’. This has been in the books for years but never came to fruition and after Rogan’s producer, “Young” Jamie Vernon fell sick to COVID-19 last week, it looked like it may never happen.
To our surprise, however, we got the podcast yesterday and it was a three-hour adventure into the mind of Kanye West. Everything from his presidential hopes to Star Wars to the music industry. Almost nothing was missed in the discussion, but one thing that caught everyone’s attention early was when West proclaimed that it was “his calling to be the leader of the free world”.

Rogan asked West about why he was running for president, asking if he was busy enough with all the other endeavors he takes part in. West responded, kind of. He went off on several different tangents, some that connected to the question and others that kind of trailed off. However, what we do understand, kind of, is that West feels it was his calling.
West said, “It was something that God put in my heart, back in 2015.” He continued, “It hit me in the shower, and when I first thought of it, I just started, like, laughing to myself and like, all this joy came over my body and through my soul.”
West has released campaign videos and is even appearing on some ballots! However, for the most part, he will have to rely on write-ins.
