WWE News: Boxing Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury Calls Out WWE Champion Drew McIntyre

The WWE Universe is a crazy place at the moment, and that shows no sign of slowing down as a boxing heavyweight champion has consistently tried to gain the attention of the reigning WWE Champion. Tyson Fury has seemingly made it his mission throughout the year to try and set up a potential dream match for a PPV in the United Kingdom, where two British world champions could be going head to head in the main event.

A potential PPV in the UK has certainly been put on the backburner due to the current lockdown measures around the world, but this is a match that looks destined to happen when the PPV is finally announced.

WWE News: Scheduling Could Be An Issue

The biggest problem that could come with setting up the potentially money-spinning affair could be down to the scheduling of Tyson Fury. Fury currently holds the WBC and The Ring heavyweight champions and the undefeated star is already gearing up for two huge title fights, which could both happen over the course of the next 18 months depending on measures in place.

The first of which will see Fury defend his titles in a trilogy bout against Deontay Wilder back in the United States. The British champion dismantled the American in their second bout earlier this year as he knocked him out in the seventh round. Following that rematch, all eyes will quickly turn to the biggest boxing event in British history, which will see a unification bout between Fury and fellow world heavyweight champions Anthony Joshua.

WWE News: Fury Still Keen On WWE

Boxing remains the priority for Fury, but the potential of having the unified heavyweight champion on weekly WWE television would certainly be something that officials in the WWE would be desperate to see. The undefeated boxer has already had a match in WWE as he beat Brawn Strowman via countout in one of the shows in Saudi Arabia.

This would certainly be a step up, but Fury’s stock is rising around the world. He sent a message to McIntyre yesterday on social media claiming that he was in Scotland looking for the WWE Champion, before McIntyre responded stating that he lives in Ayr not Edinburgh and travel restrictions meant that he couldn’t fly over to Scotland to face Fury face to face.
