UFC News: Fresh Match-Up Added To UFC 253 Card

UFC fans are already looking forward to the return of Fight Island, and the first event of its return will be UFC 253. The event will take place on the 27th September in Abu Dhabi, and there is already a stacked card that will keep fans engaged throughout the night.

The main event will see the Middleweight Championship on the line as Israel Adesanya takes on Paulo Costa. It will be a huge event as it will be the first time in over ten years that two undefeated stars will be competing in a title match in the UFC.

There is also an exciting undercard to look forward to with Dominick Reyes taking on Jan Blachowicz and Hakeem Dawodu facing off against Zubaira Tukhugov.

UFC News: New Bout Added To Card

There was set to an exciting bout in the women’s bantamweight division between Ketlen Vieira and Marion Reneau also on the card. However, the latter of the fighters were forced to pull out of the contest after picking up an injury during training.

Regardless, the UFC have moved quickly to find Vieira a new opponent, and it has been revealed that she will now come up against Sijara Eubanks.

It will be a swift turnaround for Eubanks, as she only fought last weekend on the undercard of the Waterson and Hill card. She was impressive on that showing as she won via decision after three round in the octagon.

Regardless, not one to back down from a challenge, she has accepted the opportunity to step back into the octagon once again just two weeks later.

UFC News: Eubanks vs Vieira Set For UFC 253

It should be an exciting fight between the two women in the bantamweight division. Eubanks has won two of her last four fights after returning to the division, with the two wins both coming in her last two bouts. The first of those wins came against Sarah Moras in May this year, before she followed it up with the recent win against Avila.

Vieira is ranked at seventh in the women’s bantamweight ratings, which is eight higher than Eubanks. The Brazilian has an exceptional professional record as she has lost just once in eleven fights.

That defeat came against Irene Aldana in her last fight, which was back in December. However, her record would indicate that this should be a thrilling fight between these two stars.
