UFC News: Conor McGregor Left Shocked After Completing Drugs Test During Vacation

UFC news has revealed that Conor McGregor was left stunned during his recent holiday as he was needed to complete a drugs test while enjoying the sunshine on his private yacht. McGregor was stunned that he was needed to comply with the test as he claimed that he was no longer an active fighter in the UFC.

Of course, there are those that believe that the Irishman hasn’t really retired from the sport, and that he is buying his time until the end of the coronavirus pandemic when a potentially money-spinning fight can be made against Khabib or Nate Diaz. However, he made the decision to retire from the MMA on social media, and has stayed true to his promise thus far.

UFC News: UFC Reluctant To Include McGregor On Cards

The UFC wheel has continued to spin throughout lockdown, as there have been events taking place every weekend. However, it was been reported that Dana White is reluctant to include McGregor on any of the cards during this period as his name brings so much gate revenue to the company.

The Irishman’s decision to retire has made it easier to achieve this, but McGregor has teased recently that he is ready to return. McGregor couldn’t resist leaving a comment on a picture of Nate Diaz and his brother, as he seemingly called them both out.

MMA fans will be aware of the bad bloody between McGregor and Diaz as they have fought on two previous occasions, with each fighter claiming one win. A trilogy fight would certainly capture the imagination, and could be a huge commercial success for the MMA.

UFC News: McGregor Destined To Return

MMA fans have refused to rule out the possibility of the Irishman making a return to the UFC, as he has constantly backtracked on revelations that he is expected to retire from the sport. This is the second time that he has made the announcement, but he last came out of retirement at the beginning of the year to face off against Donald Cerrone.

McGregor was ruthless against the Cowboy, and immediately claimed that he had his eyes set on future opponents. However, the outbreak of COVID has threatened to de-rail those hopes, as he must now sit and wait for the audiences to return before possibly embarking on another return to the octagon.
