It was another enthralling weekend of UFC action as Michelle Waterson and Angela Hill did battle in the main event of Fight Night. Waterson was able to get a huge win over Hill via decision, while Roxanne Modafferi beat Andrea Lee and Ottman Azaitar beat Kharma Worthy earlier in the evening.
There will be even more exciting UFC action this weekend, as four of the biggest names in UFC are involved on the card. Two welterweight bouts will be the ones that catch the eye of fans, as four of the stars of the division are in action in the main event and co-main event.
UFC News: Covington vs Woodley Headlines Show
The Fight Night action will be headlined by the welterweight clash between Colby Covington and Tyron Woodley. Covington is regarded as the second best welterweight in the rankings, while Woodley is ranked as fifth. Both stars will be coming into this fight off the back of defeats.
Covington was last in the octagon back in December, as he was beaten via TKO by Kamaru Usman. The brutal defeat means that there are questions now being asked of the former interim champion that he must address. That defeat ended a sequence of eight straight victories.
Meanwhile, Woodley’s record currently stands at 19 wins and five defeats. Two of those defeats have come in his last two outings in the octagon, as he has been beaten by Gilbert Burns and Kamaru Usman.
His last victory in the UFC came over two years ago in September 2018, as he beat Darren Till via submission in the second round. This will be a huge challenge for Woodley.
UFC News: Cerrone Back In Action
Cowboy is back in action once again, as he fights for the 52nd time in his career. However, he will be hoping for a first win in four, as he has lost three of his last four by TKO.
He did go the distance in his last outing in the octagon, but he was beaten by Anthony Pettis. His other three defeats have come against Tony Ferguson, Conor McGregor and Justin Gaethje.
Niko Price will present a stern challenge for Cerrone, as he has won 14 of his 19 professional bouts. He has won via knockout on ten occasions, and has only gone the distance on one occasion.
His last fight in the UFC came in May, as he was beaten by Vicente Luque. This will be a big challenge for Price, as Cerrone’s experience could be vital.
