CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) and the ‘Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers indicate that cast, crew and production team sure have a lot to celebrate these days. That’s because there are new reports that say both CBS soaps are on a hot streak, as they have seen their ratings roar in recent weeks. Here’s what you need to know.
As many fans know, ‘Bold and the Beautiful’ was one of the first soaps to return with all brand new episodes after the global pandemic that has been the coronavirus managed to upend the entire film and television industry and suspend filming.
CBS ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ and CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Both On A Ratings Hot Streak
The soap began filming in late June and aired its first new episode since the pandemic began in July 20th. Just this week, ‘Bold and the Beautiful’ attracted 2.45 million viewers, which is the daytime drama’s largest audience in about a month.
Everyone has been tuning in to see Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) deal with the aftermath of her motorcycle accident and of course, find out all about Shauna Fulton’s (Denise Richards) and Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye) marriage.
Meanwhile, ‘Young and the Restless’ has roared back with great ratings news, too. Y&R, which began airing original episodes on August 10th, has so far garnered 2.68 million viewers. Clearly, fans from everywhere were missing in on all of the dramatic chaos that often happens in Genoa City.
ABC soap ‘General Hospital’ has also began airing new episodes beginning on August 3rd, while ‘Days of Our Lives’ has been the only daytime drama to consistently air new episodes throughout the pandemic, seeing how they film six months in advance.
