It’s been tough on us all and it looks like it’s still hanging out for awhile, at least in America. One of the cast members of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After, Tania Maduro, has been sharing her hardships, but she is sharing them on social media. Her recent Instagram post has gotten a lot of backlash and her followers feel that she is taking things overboard.

Tania posted on her Instagram account that she was in full support of the cancel rent movement. When she posted her thoughts, her followers did not receive it very well. She posted, “It always amazes me when I share a viewpoint or a stance, and people attack me personally.
The #cancelrent post, people kept saying “get a job and you wont complain about not being able to pay your bills” — when my rent and bills weren’t in jeopardy and have been paid throughout this whole pandemic. A lot of what I stand for isn’t just or only for me, but for all of us as a whole.
When a third of the country was not able to make their payments, there is a huge problem that needs to be addressed and faced head on. Attacking me, isn’t going to help or fix the situation for these 30%. Calling them poor or lazy isn’t going to fix the problem (it’s actually false and a narrative to distract you from fixing the problem).
Also the eviction holds are being lifted across the country and people are being evicted immediately. It’s a scary and hard time, and it’s extremely sad that in such a “wealthy” nation this is our current reality. Also PS 70% of unpaid taxes is from the rich avoiding they’re payments.”

When she posted this up, she got some good feedback, mixed with negative feedback. One of her followers wrote, “I’m not sure how someone can attack you for speaking truth. The problem in this country are the super wealthy, who try to distract us from the REAL problems in this country by vilifying the poor.”
“You are not wrong! I work in property management I am seeing so many people fall behind and eventually evictions will begin and they will go through the court systems. It’s terrible, I wish they would do something for all of the renters.” One negative fan wrote, “So you think it’s ok for the landlords to go under because people choose not to work?
