Vivian Alamain (Lousie Sorel) couldn’t wait to share the news when Ivan showed up. Her son was alive, and they had the DNA test to prove it. We loved seeing Ivan question Vivian’s sanity for a brief moment. It gave us a hint of the bond between them. And gave a lighter moment before everything went in the dumps.

After hearing the scientific evidence, his tone changed. He wanted to speak to Gabi and Jake as well—together. The news wasn’t good, at least from the girls’ point of view. It turned out, Jake really isn’t Stefan. He’s Stefan’s twin. He was delivered after Vivian passed out from the delivery complications with Stefan.
This means she had two children taken, not just one. In some ways, she must feel some real relief to know at least one son is alive. But after getting such a supposed miracle handed to her, this also has to be a painful revelation. Most likely, she’ll go back to wanting revenge on Lani Price (Sal Stowers). Once her shock wears off and she has time to process everything. But what about the rest of the people involved?

Gabi just might be more devastated than Vivian. She’d been living with the hope longer, and she’s lost a lot already. After getting that hope dashed, we think this will bring every bit of grief back to the surface, raw as the day Stefan died. It also could lead to her going back down a bad path. It will also complicate things with DiMera. ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal she had hope there as well. With Stefan back by her side, she could challenge Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn). We believe there’s a worse war ahead, and it will get ugly.

As for Jake, he will probably be relieved as can be that he’s not the same man who slept with his mentally ill sister-in-law. That should give him a bit of comfort as he grieves the loss of a twin he never knew.
It’s also possible he might feel a bit of resentment. Stefan was able to find his family and live in luxury. Jake’s clearly been living the hard life all these years. He might be angry enough to try to claim what should’ve also been his. It could be fun to see a more down-to-earth DiMera come along and take over. Plus, with his former mob involvement, he could end up being as imposing a figure as the father he didn’t know. We’ll have to wait and see what path he chooses.
