Youtuber Myka Stauffer Tries Covering Up Appalling Rehoming of Adoptive Son Huxley Stauffer

Youtuber Myka Stauffer is busier than a cat covering it up, because that’s exactly what she’s doing! As we all know, Myka recently rehomed her adoptive son from China, Huxley Stauffer. Myka did this apparently upon the advice of ‘medical professionals’ (which medical professionals was never specified) and did not consult anyone at an adoption agency or CPS, which resulted in her being investigated by the authorities. She couldn’t bother to involve the authorities but she bothered to involve lawyers so that this quickie adoption/rehoming thing over with as soon as possible so she could go back to that VSCO Mommy Vlogger Aesthetic that she seemed to have going on. (I’m not even going to say “christian” because according to sources she only applied that label when it was convenient.)

When all this started happening she was deleting videos of Huxley from the family vlog and deleting his pictures from her instagram, almost like she was erasing any evidence of him ever existing in their lives. Then she outright deleted her family vlog, the vlog that she had used to garner so much attention and crowdfund for Huxley’s actual adoption. She kept up her own personal channel, but the thing is, she keeps deleting evidence. Like as if she deletes her son’s existence on the internet that this moment in her life will cease to exist and people will forget about it and she will go on and have the same following again and people will forgive her and pretend that nothing ever happened.

The hole deepens for Youtuber Myka Stauffer

There was a video that she deleted where she was crying about how China had changed its adoption laws to make them stricter (probably to prevent this type of thing from happening) and she was crying saying that if they weren’t Grandfathered in under the old law that they would not have gotten to bring Huxley home, whatever that law was. She also deleted the welcome video dedicated to Huxley, welcoming him to his forever home. Allow me to just shake my head and sigh with the ultimate disappointment. Ultimately, people may forgive her, and I certainly wouldn’t judge anyone who did, I personally know nothing about adopting a child with special needs or an international adoption and I can understand that sometimes the human heart bites off more than it can chew in an attempt to do the right thing.

However, no one is ever going to look at Myka Stauffer the same anymore, and adoptions authorities aren’t going to view this kind of adoption the same anymore. There’s going to be changes in these kinds of laws after this, and it’s going to impact all the families who are trying to do international adoption. It may impact them for the better, but it also may impact them negatively as well. Some well-deserving families may not get to bring home the son or daughter that they already love and have committed to and want to be part of their family, all because we had one bad apple in the system who gave up when the little boy did not fit into her aesthetic. It’s appalling. And she seems to think that all of this is just going to go away with the deletion of videos and her channel. No, this thing will have a ripple effect, but let’s hope that any future families who decide to adopt special needs children either here or abroad, use this as an example of what not to do.
