ABC ‘The Bachelor’ Spoilers: Brown Gets Slammed All Over the Bachelor Nation

One of the first former cast members to speak out about Brown’s use of the n-word was Nick Viall. Nick said, Listen, Hannah Brown has a massive platform. She has been very outspoken about her desire to be a role model specifically to young women out there. She has talked about it a lot. ‘When I was a young girl, this. When I was a young girl, that.’ And quite frankly, her going on Instagram Live-whether she was inebriated or not-and using that word in any context whatsoever is not being a role model. Certainly not a good one. And she has to be held to a high standard. We all do. And it is very disappointing to see. Honestly, her initial response was disappointing.”

Another former cast member of the Bachelorette, Mike Johnson has his own words to share about the incident. “She shouldn’t have said the N-word. It’s pretty damn simple to me. I looked at my phone and I saw a few people coming at me because I’m not defending women of color. Because of something that Hannah Brown did!”

Rachel Lindsay from the Bachelor also spoke out about the incident. “I honestly…didn’t want to have to do this. To be honest, I’m tired. I’m so tired of feeling like I have to be the one to say something. That word was used to make black people feel less than….It was used to make them feel inferior…and every time you use that word and you are not black, you give that word power, and that is why it is wrong. I don’t care if you are singing along to it in a song…Non-black people should not feel okay about saying that word. It’s wrong. You wouldn’t say it on TV. You wouldn’t say it in front of your black friends.”

As of right now, Hannah has not lost any of her endorsements and did make an apology, but fans still agree that it was not enough. For any other soap opera and entertainment news, please visit Daily Soap Dish.
