Jamie has been open with the public about her pregnancy journey from the beginning. After multiple miscarriages, her pregnancy with Hayes was filled with both anxiety and joy. Jamie took to Instagram to celebrate the birth with fans. “HE’S HERE!” she wrote. “All that positive energy sprinkled out into the universe WORKED! He’s snuggling on my chest perfectly calm & content as I write this caption to you!”
One day prior to the birth of baby Hayes, Jamie posted that she was more than ready for Hayes’s arrival. In the photo, Jamie holds up a sign reading, “Eviction Notice. Vacate Premises Immediately.” She joked in her birth announcement caption, “He’s clearly a very good listener! We served him his eviction notice and within 24 hours he vacated the premises!”

Jamie was able to have a home birth according to her plan. She went live on Instagram for a brief moment of her labor and later apologized to fans for not being able to stream more of the event. “I’m sorry I wasn’t able to go ‘live’ longer – I was in so much pain during contractions and this labor happened so fast!” she revealed. “I wanted to really focus on my breathing and being one with my son. Within 6 hours he was OUT!”
People revealed that Hayes’ official time of birth was 3:37 p.m. The newborn weighed in at a healthy 9 pounds, 4 ounces and measured 21 inches long. Doug remarked that Hayes looks exactly like his two-year-old sister, Henley Grace.

“The resemblance to @henleygracehehner is crazy,” Doug posted. “But more importantly, baby and mom are doing amazing & perfectly healthy.” He also commended Jamie’s courage and positivity during the delivery process. “So proud of @jamienotis for how unbelievably brave, amazing, determined, and loving she was today!” Doug wrote soon after Hayes’s birth. “It was an intense but somewhat magical day of bringing Hayes Douglas Hehner into the world, less than 6 ft from our bed.”
