CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers welcome another beautiful day of Winters Week in Genoa City! As fans are still getting reruns of some of the hottest Y&R classics, viewers are reminded of one of everyone’s favorite Genoa City families out there: the famous Winter clan. This week, we’ve seen the handsome Shemar Moore take the stage, and we’ve had the opportunity to watch the incredible acting talents of the great Kristoff St. John. Today, fans were taken back to June 29, 2009.
For those that were invested in the Winters family about a decade ago, the storyline between Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) is a hard one to forget. As producers take viewers back to 2009, we are reminded about Lily and Daniel making a run for it, and their families searching for them.

It was shortly after Cassie Newman’s (Camryn Grimes) death. Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) was a pain-stricken, mourning mother. She opened up to Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore) about her biggest fear: that Daniel would never be held accountable for her daughter’s death. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), on the other hand, was stoic (just like his father). He felt that Daniel would be brought to justice – and he was going to do whatever he had to in order to see that happen. Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is trying to protect her son.
Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) was willing to join the couple in their search for the sole purpose of finding his daughter, Lily. Meanwhile, Gloria Abbott Bardwell (Judith Chapman) is about to marry the great John Abbott (Jerry Douglas). Everything seems to be looking up for her! Unfortunately, her husband sweeps in and happens to ruin their plans. Realistically, I don’t think anybody really liked Gloria’s husband, Tom (Roscoe Born), anyways.

As a friendly reminder, Daniel Romalotti ends up not being responsible for Cassie’s death – unfortunately, his short-term memory loss deems him incapable of knowing that. Years later, Phyllis and Nick will find their way back to each other, and eventually, Camryn Grimes will come back to Genoa City as Cassie’s twin, Mariah Copeland. Oh, how the world of soap operas work. Stay tuned tomorrow to see how Winters Week ends!
