NBC ‘Days Of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers is saying that we should face it, Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay) seems to have a cure for everything, including death itself if his latest subjects are anything to go by. So it’s only natural in this time of national need that Salem should turn to its resident mad scientist for a cure for this quickly mutating virus that is shutting down everything, everywhere.

Let’s look at his track record, shall we? So far he has brought lots of people back to life, including two he brought back just by injecting a microchip with their ‘essence’ into a person and letting them carry on their evil deeds in bodies that were not their own. So I think it would be safe to say that Dr. Rolf is a very capable scientist that would be perfectly able to locate the kind of cure that we need. However…

Currently, Dr. Rolf is about to be dragged off to prison for crimes relating to resurrecting Princess Gina (Kristian Alfonso) and Stefano DiMera (Steven Nichols), so right now he’s not really in a great frame of mind to be conducting research that wouldn’t directly benefit him. But somehow… if he played his cards right, he could tell the Salem Police that for a pardon, he would let them have his Coronavirus cure for free… in exchange for his freedom. Of course right now, I think that would make Dr. Rolf a national hero and not just one of the hometown variety. Of course the Salem PD would let him go in exchange for such a valuable commodity, I mean they let Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) and Kristen DiMera (Stacey Haiduk) off for less! Wasn’t Kristen’s literal reason that she did everything she did for the love of Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and they bought that? So yes, they would buy Dr. Rofl’s cure in a heartbeat.

There is also a chance that Dr. Rolf might just play God with a few select patients, say ones that he didn’t like an instead inject them with placebo that wouldn’t actually end up doing anything and when it didn’t do anything he could just say that the virus, which is rapidly mutating was a cure-resistant strain of the virus and no one would really be the wiser except for him because he would know exactly what type of cure that each strain needed… but perhaps I’m expecting too much of Dr. Rolf. No I’m not. Either way, it would certainly be an interesting angle to take for ol’ Rolfy-poo to gain his freedom. Stay tuned!!!
