On Tuesday, we saw that Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) is an easy mark for Stefano DiMera (Stephen Nichols). He showed up at her office with a bullet wound and a crazy story about how Stefano tricked them, meaning his treatment has to be on the DL. Despite “Steve Johnson’s” (Nichols) uncharacteristic mean, Kayla is still in the dark and decided to go along. Tomorrow, we’ll see her smuggle Steve out of the hospital. We have a bad feeling about this one. The calvary is already heading back to Salem, and if Stefano happens to get wind of that, it wouldn’t be out there for him to take her hostage.

Also on Wednesday, we’ll get back to the Mickey situation. Xander Cook’s (Paul Telfer) stirred up some questions with his demands to get certain people tested. For now, everyone just thinks he’s desperately casting the widest net he can. That might not be the case for long. On February 12th, Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) and Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) receive news about the bone marrow search for Mickey. The results are likely to be a major head scratcher for this pair, and it should be the first nail in this baby swap coffin. Hmm. Looks like Salem is much more efficient with these situations that a certain other town. That other baby swap story’s been playing out for over a year in real-world time.

In other news, we know that Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) found out Stefano was using Steve’s body for quite some time, she’s kept quiet. She’s about the only loyal DiMera child left. However, that loyalty may come at a price. On Wednesday, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal Kristen keeps a secret from Brady Black (Eric Martsolf). We’re betting this is in regards to the Stefano/Steve thing. On Tuesday’s episode, Chad and Abigail DiMera (Billy Flynn/Kate Mansi) were rescued by Shawn-Douglas Brady (Brandon Beemer) after a run-in with Stefano. It’s surely going to be all over town any second.

In other ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers, we have to take a moment to marvel at the horrible choice to be made Wednesday. In Monday’s episode, we saw Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) arrive at a pre-arranged spot to pick up Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson). A rare moment of fatherly caring had Clyde Weston (James Read) to have her ready and waiting, just in case. As the escape went wrong and Ben’s on his own, it was a good call. Still, we’re shaking our heads at the teaser “Ciara hides Ben at the DiMera gatehouse.” Is she joking? Gatehouse seems to imply, you know, a gate? Likely a front gate? Not a good hiding place. And even if it’s located elsewhere on the property, it’s still a bad move. That was Ben’s last-known residence. We’re pretty sure that makes it a priority stop in the search for the escapee from Death Row.
