We also learn who the puppet master of this kidnapping scheme is, and it seems Elizabeth “Eli” Molina (Patricia Guirado) might be in danger. If you missed it, let’s get to the No te Puedes Esconder recap.

No te Puedes Esconder spoilers: Goodbye

After confessing to the murder of Beatriz Prats (Natalia Varela), Alex has been left in a cell. He writes a letter to Eli, apologizing for the long trip he’s about to take. Then, he pulls out what appear to be those clear braces. Inside, he has a couple of pills, which he consumes. A guard later finds him with a very weak pulse and Alex is transported to a hospital.

No te Puedes Esconder spoilers: Escape

During the trip, the paramedic is trying to figure out what he took, but all the guard can tell him is they found a couple of capsules. While they are distracted, Alex, who’d been faking, manages to get a jump on the guard and injects him with something. Now that the guy is unconscious, Alex orders the paramedic to switch their clothes.

Once they get to the hospital, the guard is taken into the emergency room and Velasco notices the switch. Their boss is furious about the escape, and Velasco is having doubts.

No te Puedes Esconder spoilers: At odds

Meanwhile, Laura returns home to find Alex in her apartment. He swears that he lied about murdering Beatriz, but is also positive his daughter didn’t do it. He wants her help to resolve this situation. Laura is somewhat hostile to him after everything that went down, but ultimately decides to help. She gives him some money and he leaves.

Outside, Velasco has apparently anticipated something like this, because he was waiting outside. He takes Alex back into custody, but not for long. Laura comes up behind him and puts a gun to his head. She demands he let Alex go, and Velasco complies. He’s furious, though, and thinks that Laura has thrown her life away for a liar and a killer.

Laura doesn’t see it this way, though. Her gut says that Alex is innocent. This amuses Velasco, who thinks her gut is a bit biased in this case. She insists it’s not, but if something goes wrong, she’ll take the heat. She swears that she believes him and someone is trying to set him up. If that’s the case, she warns Velasco that Eli is also in danger.

No te Puedes Esconder spoilers: Eli in danger?

She might not be far off. Not finding Eli at home, Laura decides to visit Humberto (Juan Caballero) to see what he might know. He won’t let her in the apartment, and claims that Eli isn’t there. He says she’d been drinking and believes she was out with someone. Laura leaves, and Humberto closes the door.

When Eli comes out of another room, she asks who was there. He plays dumb and says that his buzzer never rang. Put this together with the articles he had of the crime Alex had been mixed up in years ago—papers he wouldn’t let her see—and this is spelling disaster. We personally think he’s the son of the woman in those articles and wants revenge for his mother, but who knows with a novela? They like keeping you on your toes.

No te Puedes Esconder spoilers: Getting help

Elswhere, Mónica and Daniel Romero (Eduardo Noriega) have enlisted a friend of his who also works in law enforcement. The man is sympathetic to her case and they manage to link the shipment to a company owned by a Carlos De la Cruz (Gabriel Porras). He’s the one we’ve been seeing giving orders a lot recently.

They all pay a visit to De la Cruz’s office, where he claims innocence. His company is above-board. They want some proof and ask to search his records. He wants to know where their warrant is. After all, he’s a law-abiding kind of guy.

None of this is appeasing our searchers at all. Mónica, in fact, is convinced that her daughter is there and forces her way through the place in search of her. She ends up zeroing in on a big truck that she demands De la Cruz open. He has no issue with that and allows her to search. When nothing is found, he tells them they better bring a warrant next time. He thinks twice and tells them they’re not welcome back here period.

No te Puedes Esconder spoilers: Warning

Lucky for him, he’d had a feeling and pretended to speak with his daughter. It was actually Diego (Giuseppe Gamba) he was talking to. Natalia Saldaña (Samantha Siqueiros) was never in that truck, because he’d already had her put somewhere else. Mónica then turns to other measures.

No te Puedes Esconder spoilers: Talk

They know there is more than meets the eye. So, she seeks out her old house. Inside, they find Hugo (Adrian Ladron), who explains what he’d done for Mónica. They get him to help with a new plan. Hugo and Mónica take Diego’s pregnant wife (Nicole Alva Tapia) hostage and use her as a bargaining chip to find out where Natalia is.

Elsewhere, Daniel has caught up with Diego and they video chat with his wife. This makes Diego sing like a canary. Well, at least on what he knows. They already know for a fact De la Cruz is involved, thanks to Hugo. Now, Diego tells them what hotel she is at.

No te Puedes Esconder spoilers: Daddy dearest

When Natalia gets to her destination, she learns the identity of the person who has orchestrated her ordeal—her not-dead father.
