No te Puedes Esconder, Episode 4: Evidencias del crimen (Evidence of the crime)

Your Thursday, October 3rd No te Puedes Esconder recap reveals that Mónica Saldaña (Blanca Soto) is  impatient, Alex Molina (Iván Sánchez) is a dog, and Elizabeth ‘Eli’ Molina (Patricia Guirado) is beginning to wonder what she’s gotten into. There’s also a gruesome leak, and Daniel Romero (Eduardo Noriega) gets himself into a mess. If you missed it, let’s talk No te Puedes Esconder spoilers.

No te Puedes Esconder spoilers: Keep it in your pants/Grow up

It seems like this campaign for mayor is doomed for Alberto Torres (Peter Vives). That gruesome murder scene that Laura Urrutia (Maribel Verdú) was investigating gets leaked to the press. The pictures are the talk of the media, and Alberto is furious. We’re guessing more from how this may reflect on his campaign than anything. After his advisor turns the TV off, Alberto starts talking about how cold someone must be to do this, and wondering how they can have any peace.

Later, when he addresses the media, he says pretty much the same thing. It almost sounds rehearsed, and we’re totally not trusting this guy. And not just because he has all kinds of women on the side. Speaking of that, he also gets some other advice in this episode. Seeing as how he’s supposed to be a mourning husband, he is told to watch it with the ladies. Especially Eli, who he met with earlier. He’s told he needs to start keeping it in his pants and grow up already. Any misstep will be a disaster for the campaign.

No te Puedes Esconder spoilers: Eli’s mistake

He’s not the only one who might be making mistakes. We see flashbacks of Alberto and his wife, Beatriz Prats (Natalia Varela). They have an awkward exchange at an event that leads to a private fight. We hear either the same conversation in that recording from before, or a similar one. She’s over this, and him. He’s not taking that too well. After all, politics is all image. We see that Natalia Saldaña (Samantha Siqueiros) had an encounter that later made her tell him they’re done as well.

Later on, Eli is starting to wonder if maybe Alberto had something to do with Natalia’s sudden disappearance. She thinks that her friend really was just trying to warn her, instead of being jealous.

No te Puedes Esconder spoilers: Natalia on the move

As for Natalia, she is still being held captive. She tries to get some info from Dasha (Anna Gulevich), including why she’s doing something like this. Dasha replies that she fell in love with the wrong man. Natalia can relate. Soon, Maxim (Florin Opritescu) comes and orders Natalia to get moving. They’re taking her somewhere, but she obviously isn’t answered when she wants to know where. They cover her head so she can’t see, then inject her with something before she’s loaded into a vehicle.

No te Puedes Esconder spoilers: Creepy dog

Alex is not looking too good right now. Besides being a dirty cheater who is messing around with Laura, he is also looking suspicious. Just before the big leak happened, he’d been at Laura’s place doing what a lying cheater does best. He happened to come across the pictures at one point and asks where Laura got them. She takes them away and says that he shouldn’t be looking at them. Seems a bit too coincidental to us. Either he somehow was able to make copies, or he was actually there at the scene to take the pics himself.

Also showing what a creepy liar he is, he’s examining his pictures from the terrorist attack in episode one and is particularly checking out the picture he took of Mónica working on Daniel. Eli happens to come along and see. When he admits he took these pictures with his phone, she points out he’d said he didn’t see Mónica until later. Hmm.

No te Puedes Esconder spoilers: Impatience killed the protagonist

Finally, Mónica is gutsy, but apparently not too bright. Following their tip from the previous episode, Daniel informs her that he has a lead on their mystery man. Unfortunately, he’s got things to take care of first. He urges Mónica to sit tight and wait for him to arrive, despite her protests they have no time to waste.

As a Telenovla lead is wont to do, she decides to ignore logic and advice to check things out herself. She returns to the store they got the security footage from and bribes her way into learning what Daniel was told. Armed with the location, she makes her way to a bar where she seems men with similar tattoos to the man from the security footage. She tries over and over to reach Daniel, but he’s not answering. More on that in a sec. With no help thus far, she decides to do a little snooping and uses a bathroom stop to slip into a private area. There, she finds a sleeping guy with the same exact tattoo as the one in the picture. She snaps a picture of the tattoo, as well as him before slipping out of the room. Unfortunately, he’s not alone and yells out to Dmitri (Oleg Kricunova) they have company.  They end up taking Monica hostage after she hits his partner to try and escape.

Where was Daniel? He’s been getting harassed about failing to kill Mónica. He is to return the money, or else. Daniel is obviously trying to take the guy out when he runs. The chase leads Daniel to run into a police car. They see his gun and draw their own. After an escape attempt, he tries to tell them he is one of them, but the cops don’t care. They drag him into the station and throw him in a cell. He isn’t allowed to answer his phone as he’s waiting to be brought to the cell, even though he begs and says someone’s waiting for him.
