‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) Spoilers for Monday, August 12th reveal that Anna DiMera (Leann Hunley) is not a happy camper, Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) is double-crossing Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus), Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) is confused, and John Black and Marlena Evans (Drake Hogestyn and Deidre Hall) are about to be surprised. ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Ben Double-crosses Gabi, Works On the Sly To Help Stefan!
Ben is assuring Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) her burnt steak is perfect when they start worrying about the whole Gabi Hernandez and Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) situation. It’s possible Gabi will hold a grudge and can Ben, or at the very least kick him out of the guest house he’s living in. When she calls, he’s sure the axe is about to fall on him, but she apparently just wanted to get him to up security, as Stefan snuck in.

As luck would have it, Stefan picks just that moment to show up at the guest house. He tells them they were right, and he was an idiot to marry Gabi, but he needs Ben’s help. He wants him to investigate Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso). Ciara is instantly indignant, and swears she’s not going to let anyone put her mother away from a crime she didn’t commit. He says he misspoke, and he wants something she said investigated.

After filling them in on the mystery woman, the necklace, and the money, they agree that this woman must be the murderer—or at least be connected. Stefan believes it’s possibly Not-Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker), as Hope thought the woman looked familiar from the back. He also points out she obviously knew Kate DiMera (Lauren Koslow) and Ted Laurent (Gilles Marini) were in the tunnels and said nothing. Ben promises he’s #TeamStefan and will do what he can.

Meanwhile, Brady is talking over the whole Not-Nicole situation with Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin), including the marriage to Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) and Brady sleeping with her. Chloe thinks that’s too much info and wants to know what he was thinking anyway. Especially since he admitted to thinking about Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) after. He can’t get that tattoo he saw out of his mind, or the fact that Not-Nicole just happens to have scar tissue in that same place.

Meanwhile, in between worrying about their kids and this whole Tony-being-back-from-the-dead thing, John and Marlena still find the time to remember their original wedding anniversary is coming up. Each one goes to Chloe to book the place for a big event, wanting to surprise the other. Chloe looks completely and totally uncomfortable when John comes along to book the second party. Seriously… can this poor pair do anything without some kind of complication?

As for the whole Tony situation, Kate and Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) are still hugging following Rex Brady’s (Kyle Lowder) departure when Anna walks in. She assumes they’re back together, but Kate assures her that’s not the case and explains about Rex leaving. Things get awkward fast when Anna announces she’s decided to put Tony’s ashes in the “DiMera Museum” (ha!) and they’re forced to tell her he’s alive. She’s obviously not believing it, but Kate swears it’s true because not only did she see him herself, he spent the night at her room. Not helping, Kate…
Anna is obviously upset, but Kate explains it was totally innocent and she’s not into being with brothers (ha!), but just wanted to help. He was alone and had nowhere to go. Anna is fussing about why he wouldn’t come to her when Kate spills that he’s married to Not-Nicole. Damn, Kate. Are you trying to get Tony killed? Because Anna is even more upset to learn that. She brushes Kate and Roman off to go in search of Tony after demanding his location.

Kristen has us ready to sue for whiplash today. Alone in her room with Tony, she is not happy about his idea of wanting to go back to Anna. She threatens him to stay away, because she has to be married to him still to get that company back. Which she swears she’ll do. Tony is over this plan, but Kristen is insistent. She saved his life, after all, covered up his murder of Ted, and is trying to protect the family legacy.
When he objects to being in limbo while she’s free to sleep with Brady and do whatever else she pleases, she then claims that she doesn’t give a crap if he is with Anna on the sly. He just needs to keep up appearances. Um, okay. So the murder threat was for what reason now?
She does another reversal when Tony points out that Anna is too good and principled to be the other woman. She decides that it would be too risky and doubles down on her threat by saying she’ll take out Anna if he gets anywhere near her. Nothing will stand in the way of her goals.
Later on, he’s leaving the inn when he comes face-to-face with Anna, while Kristen hears Marlena knocking on the door. She’d dropped by on Chloe’s suggestion to check up on the increasingly-erratic Not-Nicole.
