‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) Spoilers: Will Horton Braces For The End, Unbearably Tragic Death Fast Approaching
Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) finds the number to JJ’s new phone today. He thinks that by offering Jennifer Horton’s (Melissa Reeves) freedom—she’s facing felony assault, as well as aiding and abetting—he’s going to get Hayley Chen (Thia Megia) back in Salem and on her way to China. He thought wrong.

JJ is the one who returns, after promising to meet Hayley in Canada once she and Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) gets her there. He just has to deal with his mother’s situation first. JJ pretends that he’ll give some info once his mother is free without prejudice. Jennifer is confused, so JJ explains that it means she can’t be charged again. Once that’s happened, though, JJ refuses to give anything up and Jack has him hauled away.
Meanwhile, Tripp and Hayley are at the hideout trying to figure out who to get new passports from. We were wondering if someone was going to bring up the fact Jack knows what Hayley’s picture looked like, as well as her new name, so points for that bit of smarts. After eliminating Ben, Claire, and others, they decide the safest route is to ask Rory (Kevin Riggin) again.

Will’s been hit hard by the news that he could be dead in days. So much so, he’s decided he wants to cover Jennifer’s case. He wants to do one final story, and he wants to make it the best he can. The problem is, he’s having trouble with little details and is starting to lose his temper. Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) is by his side through the whole thing.
He offers to help with the story, but thinks that it would be an even better use of his time to inform the rest of the family what’s going on. Will’s reluctant, but the choice is sort of taken out of his hands. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) has found out he’s there through the hospital’s admission records and came by to see him. Will decides that it’s best to go ahead and tell her.

Things are about to get real between Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Claire Brady (Olivia Rose Keegan). It starts when Marlena comes by to see Claire and starts expressing concern over Claire’s state of mind. She defends herself, but it eventually gets to a point where it looks like Claire is going to confess her fire sin. Once more, though, it doesn’t happen. This time, it’s because Tripp called to get her to cover his shift at work. The thing here is, though, that Marlena heard Claire’s ring tone and asked about it. Claire tells her it’s her own composition, used so she’ll be able to tell her phone ringing from anyone else’s. Give that session with Ben, she’s surely thinking that the tone is familiar.
Meanwhile, Ben and Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) head to the café for lunch after having discussed Ben’s suspicions. She wants him to stop trying to make it so Claire is the guilty one, but Ben is determined to go through with another session because of the memory he got back last time. Claire, who’s at work by now, hears part of this talk and immediately calls Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) to tell her that fire needs to be pinned on Ben. Now. She ends up having to leave a message, but the Soap Gods aren’t done with her bad luck yet. While Claire is taking their order, Even returns her call, and Ben hears her ring tone.
