‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: February 12 – Unlikely Bond

They may not have been getting along lately, but Abigail, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Kate all have something in common: child loss. While Kate’s turned out to be alive in the end, she lets Abigail know that she definitely knows what she’s going through and offers her support. This softens Abigail’s view slightly, and she thanks Kate for stopping by.

Meanwhile, she and Chad are totally freaked out (rightfully so) about Charlotte’s disappearance and go on air to issue a plea for her return.

DOOL Spoilers: Open Mouth, Insert Foot

Looks like JJ isn’t the only one in Salem who doesn’t know how to keep quiet, and it might come back to bite one of our newer arrivals, Hayley Chen (Thia Megia). While she and JJ are getting close at his place, Jack Deveraux’s (Matthew Ashford) spilling his guts to Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva). Granted, he was under duress after screwing things up with Abigail before, but still. He kind of tries to back out of saying more, but Eve eventually gets Jack to admit that JJ’s new friend is an illegal immigrant and scared of getting tossed out of the country.

Eve expresses concern about this, given the whole cartel-tried-to-kill-a-resident thing, and says that this is going to be bad for JJ if he keeps her around. She brings up an old situation with Abigail nearly getting killed after marrying someone (Dario Hernandez, played by Jordi Vilasuso) to help him stay in the country, and Jack’s world is sufficiently rocked. He’s still wary of interfering, though. Eve insists that, for JJ’s own good, Jack needs to get this out in the open so the girl in question will take off and be out of the picture. We can just imagine what she’ll do with this bit of info once she connects the dots on who this friend of JJ’s really is. And we once more have to wonder what was wrong with Melinda Trask (Laura Kai Chen).

She was a DA whose sister has a very sympathetic situation and this was all going on during a time when there were different allowances being made. Why on earth didn’t she try clearing this up? From what Hayley was saying, this Mayoral ambition wasn’t something new. She had to know this would be a factor at some point. Why not just pull as many strings as possible to tidy things up beforehand?

‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Frame Job

Poor Ben’s getting royally screwed. After catching Jordan Ridgeway (Chrishell Hartley) in his room, she explains her concerns and asks him about the Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) and baby Charlotte thing. Ben explains for the hundredth time that he had nothing to do with it and accuses Jordan of not having his back because of the things she’d said to Abigail. She thinks he’ll be better off at Bayview, and Ben disagrees. He insists that he’s innocent, healthy, and committed to finding who really kidnapped Ciara. He insists he’s being framed, and just wants a little support.

Later, Jordan returns a call from Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) and makes Ben sound as guilty as sin by twisting everything they’d talked about (including his Ciara hallucination). Eli is glad for her oh-so-helpful info and informs Hope. The episode ends with Ben seeming to find something in a drawer as the police come knocking. And we’re pretty sure that if Ben is smart at all, he’ll have some idea of who is really framing him. Then again, with all the unexpected visits he’s been getting, he may not realize his sister’s his worst enemy.
