‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Jordan’s Righteousness and Over-Inflated Sense Of Duty Backfires – Ben Scapegoating Continues

‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers relate that everyone blames Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson), Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) gets a very brief reprieve, and the mayoral race just ramped up a notch. In case you missed  Days of Our Lives, we’re here to catch you up with a Days of Our Lives recap of the highlights.

‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: February 8 Recap – Ben, Ben, Ben.

In a town filled with people who have committed evil deeds, everyone’s sure fast to blame poor Ben Weston for everything bad that happens. Most recently, the kidnapping of baby Charlotte. Eli Grant (Lamon Archey), JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss), and Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) all show up at his place over the course of the episode to question him (Eli), search his stuff illegally (JJ) or just outright try to choke him (Chad). Seems the only one in town that doesn’t think he’s the kidnapper is Abigail Deveraux (Kate Mansi). She doesn’t see motive to take Charlotte, as he had been too into Ciara recently.

Meanwhile, back at the cabin, Jordan Ridgeway (Chrishell Hartley) is still holding both Ciara and little Charlotte— for their own good, of course. Ciara pulls a big “I’ve seen the light” act to get untied, but apparently Jordan was ready for it. While Ciara tries to convince Jordan they should at least send a text so Chad and Abigail know the baby is safe, she suddenly falls ill. Jordan had drugged her. Since Ciara had wanted to text them, she obviously decides that Ciara can’t be trusted and ties her up again. And we continue to marvel at the insanity here. Personally, we think hers is worse because it’s based in righteousness and an over-inflated sense of duty.

That story for the day ends with Ben returning to his room after asking Abigail where his sister might be (he’s just found out today she’s in town) to find Jordan in his room. Gee. Wonder what she might have been doing in there. Maybe planting some evidence?

‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Mayor Problems

Abe Carver (James Reynolds) and Melinda Trask (Laura Kai Chen) get into it when they run into each other in town, with Melinda accusing him of being too happy-go-lucky looking. After all, there’s a missing baby in town. His argument that the Salem PD is on it does little to stop the insult on his job and the PD in general (and let’s face it, she’s got a point). Things are getting more heated when Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) comes along, saying it’s interesting that two of the mayoral candidates are fighting in the square when there’s a kid missing and a woman was almost killed. This leads her to start asking questions about immigration. Suddenly, Melinda can’t get away fast enough, and we’re in awe at Eve’s luck there.

Later on, we find out that JJ was not, in fact, smart enough to keep his mouth shut. Despite all of Hayley Chen’s (Thia Megia) assurances to Melinda that JJ won’t talk, he did. During a scene between him and Hayley, he flashes back to mentioning his friend was having an immigration issue. This is sure to impact the race, because Eve returns home all ready to dig up dirt on the candidates. Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) isn’t so hyped. Seems he feels like a complete failure as a dad. She tries to make him feel better about an earlier incident with Abigail, but it turns out JJ is the one who he’s talking about. He mentions JJ’s friend and you can totally see Eve ready to pounce on this info. Good luck, Melinda…

‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Epic Failure

Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves) has the epically horrible idea to get Jack to come to the house to help support Abigail early in the episode, much to Eve’s annoyance. She’d been planning to keep the missing-grandkid news to herself. Jack rushes off to see Abigail, but Abigail is in no mood. She doesn’t want him around right now because of a few simple reasons. One, he doesn’t even remember them. Two, he made no efforts really to come and see the kids beforehand. And, finally, he had to be paid to have dinner with them.
