‘General Hospital’ spoilers relate that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Carly Corinthos(Laura Wright) are getting along very well recently, but maybe a little too well for some. Of course, that’s a good problem to have, since it makes for a rock-solid friendship on the show. However, this could also lead to problems.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Jason and Carly, Too Thick?
‘General Hospital’ spoilers relate that many people feel Jason and Carly’s relationship is getting a little too close. Fans of course remember that the duo were once a couple, so it’s not like they’re unacquainted with each other on a more intimate level. This means that they know each other very well and if they managed to put aside their differences after no longer being together it means that they have a bond as strong as the strongest of steel alloys. Yes, it must be that strong! However, the reasoning doesn’t end there as we know that not everything’s rosy posy in the wild land of PC.
With everything going on in Port Charles recently many feel like the duo’s closeness is problematic. Laura Wright, however, doesn’t agree with that notion. In an interview given to ABC Soaps In Depth, the popular actress opined that the duo portrays “the best friendship on the show”. She goes on to add: “He’s like her safety net. It wouldn’t be a healthy relationship to rely on someone that much romantically… but as a friendship, it’s incredible. He’s her best friend, and there’s a loyalty they share that is beyond anything else.”
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Jason and Carly, As Thick As Thieves But Not As Thick As Lovers
Wright goes on to add that while Jason and Carly are a great thing in terms of friendship, but that they’re no thing when it comes to love. “Jason sees people differently, and I think it’s because he needs people differently,” Wright tells ABC Soaps in Depth. She adds:
“A lot of times, our perception of other people is blocked by our own needs and expectations in life. We’re such flawed people, so the relationships we have are reflections of what we see in ourselves. Well, Jason is so selfless. It’s easy for him to see what others need, because he seems to need so little. He sees the bigger picture, and he sees that with Carly.”

But when it comes to shifting feelings for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), Wright doesn’t see that changing anytime soon: “The only way that would work is if Maurice ever decided to leave and, in the loss of Sonny, Carly and Jason found each other. The love is there with Jason, but they’re such great friends, and Carly and Sonny are so bonded as husband and wife at this moment. They just are. And it’s a beautiful truth that Sonny’s terrible, but he’s my terrible,” she says. “To own that is beautiful, because everyone’s got their stuff. They may not be mobsters, but you know what I mean!”
Of course, we know of Sonny’s growing of affection for Margaux. Carly recently told Jason that if Sonny ever betrayed her again, she would never take him back!
