Alec Baldwin has hit the headlines once again for the wrong reasons after a book associated with the NBC sitcom ‘30 Rock’ has claimed that Alec had tried to assault the director of the show.

Alec, for his part, appeared on the show for seven seasons when he played Jack Donaghy. But the timing of these comments could not be any worse. This is the last thing that Alec needs, given that he is already facing increasing scrutiny.
His prop gun incident on the set of ‘Rust’ led to the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and the injury to the director Joel Souza. Therefore, these allegations are not going to paint him in a good light as they show that he is a temperamental person.
Mike Roe, who happened to write the book ‘The 30 Rock Book: Inside the Iconic Show, from Blerg to EGOT,’ suggested that Alec was not the well-liked person that we often see on screen.
It is here where it is claimed that Alec had threatened to assault the director of the show Adam Bernstein. To make matters even more worrying, this incident had allegedly occurred on the first season of the show.
This alteration had just so happened when the director decided to hold two thumbs in the air as part of getting the shot on camera.
Thereafter, Mike states that Alec had said the following: “According to [editor Doug] Abel, Alec turned to [Bernstein] and said that if he did that one more time, he was going to assault him.
“And he didn’t say it with a smile on his face.” Clearly, this was not the first impression that people want to make. And yet, Alec did stay on the show for a considerable time.
Alec has not yet responded to these claims, which is understandable given that they are only going to draw negative media attention on him.
But if they are proven to be true, then it does suggest that the actor has a problem with keeping himself under control. It will be fascinating to see if Alec does end up firing back with some claims of his own.
