ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers indicate while there’s no doubt that he is a very complex character, he’s also someone that fans simply can’t get enough of. Of course, we are talking about Finn Hamilton.
His portrayer, actor Michael Easton, recently opened up about his character and while he’s definitely grown over the years, he’s also fallen by the wayside, too. Here’s what he has to say.
If there’s one positive change that fans have seen from Finn in recent memory, it’s that the love of his life (or at least fans believe to be the love of his life) Anna (Finola Hughes) helping him get his life together.

“Anna straightened him out or something,” the actor chuckled to Soaps In Depth. “We don’t see Roxie anymore and now, when I do things that I got away with doing before, [the powers that be] say it’s distracting. What do you mean it’s distracting? This is the character!
So Finn can’t clean the silverware or do all the stuff he did. It can be frustrating.” He also said that while Finn has definitely evolved over the years, Michael has tried his best to stay true to his character.
“You’re always trying to grab back to the character you set out to play, but it’s hard holding on to that in daytime,” he said. “We move off and change things.”
And when it comes to Easton, in particular, he’s also literally played multiple characters since joining ‘General Hospital’. “I’ve had all these different incarnations,” he says — referring to McBain, Caleb, Stephen, Silas, and now Finn. “God bless the cast for dealing with me!”
