ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers For August 17: Power struggle
First off, ‘General Hospital’ spoilers indicate there is a power struggle going on in Port Charles in more ways than one. We mentioned in the weekly preview that Jasper Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) was still determined to keep Joss safe. To do that, he nearly got Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) to admit everything while he recorded it. That is going to blow up on Tuesday.
In the promo, Jax asks what choice Carly would have made. Clearly, this is his response to her calling out his sneaky methods. Honestly, we can’t say the guy is wrong here. She just doesn’t understand the severity of what’s going on and how important it might be to convince Joss she’d be better off out of town.
This fight will likely get ugly, as Carly asks what exactly his plan was. Carly, if you have to ask, you should not be co-running any criminal organization. Obviously, he either wants to get the police involved or blackmail you to help get Joss to see the light.
Meanwhile, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) promises there is not going to be a power struggle for anyone to exploit. We’re guessing he’s talking to Carly here, because the teasers say she looks to Jason to deal with Jax. Somehow, we think this is going to be a challenging assignment.

In other news, the doctor has a special treat for Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) and Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor). And why are we sensing a set of twins on the way? This should be good, if only for the parents’ reactions.

As for the stalker thing, ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) will find Ava Jerome (Maura West) in a vulnerable moment.
Teasers reveal she’ll sympathize with Ava, who will obviously be stressing about the whole situation between Spencer and Nikolas Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez/Marcus Coloma) Portia will say it sounds like Ava is speaking from personal experience. And Ava will definitely be doing so, because she’s haunted by her past on August 17th.
Related to this, Cameron Webber (William Lipton) tells Laura Webber (Genie Francis) and Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) something seriously strange is going on at Wyndemere. So, it looks like Ava’s call for a launch was successful. We can’t wait to see the explosion that will happen.
Especially since there’s a shot of Spencer getting grabbed from behind. We’re sure Laura won’t approve of Nikolas’ methods. Assuming, of course, this is Nikolas’ plot and we’re not about to get taken for a ride.

Finally, the weekly hinted at a big return. And it appears to be the case, as Sam is in disbelief. On Monday, Sam answered a call and said, “Drew?” after the person spoke. We’re sure she’ll be torn between believing it’s him and wondering if this is a huge game.
