‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers finds that star Jason Thompson (Billy Abbott) recently shared his thoughts on the possibility of his character Billy striking up a new romance with another beautiful lady in Genoa City. Here’s what he has to say.
Speaking to Daytime Confidential in a new interview, the handsome actor opened up about all of the good times, the bad times, and of course the ugly times that his character has had to endure while on the show.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Jason Thompson Opens Up On The Possibility Of A Hot Romance Between Billy And Lilly
In his most recent storyline, Billy has been getting more than a little up close and personal with his business associate, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). When asked what is the possibility that Lily and Billy might strike up a romance, Jason answered with, “When you put it in a workplace like this, I always find it very, very interesting because there’s the practicality of these kinds of things and we both know, and everybody knows, that Billy isn’t exactly practical. He’s not exactly thorough-thinking in his actions sometimes.”
He continued, “Lily is that [practical], and she’s a confident, bright woman who’s been through a lot and still really believes in humanity and so it’s a nice juxtaposition between the two characters. It’s interesting when I find them; I find them at a little bit more of a later place in their life. I think they’re both kind of fond of each other and I think they do both respect each other. Still not 100 percent. They’re a little weary of each other but they’re building that relationship which is fun.”
Jason also said that he absolutely loves working with his co-star, Christhel Khalil and says that she’s often the funniest person on set and that she’s also someone who works really hard.
He explained, “ She really enjoys herself when you’re working together, which is a lot of fun to kind of be around. Which, in turn, helps the characters a little bit, just feel more relaxed around each other, which is cool. Because there is history there and there are a lot of things that have happened since their togetherness, or whatever you want to call it.”
