The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Legendary Actress Beth Maitland (Traci Abbott) Opens Up About What Motherhood Means To Her

The Young and the Restless spoilers relate that star Beth Maitland (Traci Abbott) is opening up about what motherhood means to her. The legendary actress says that while she was growing up, she never understood why her mother was so adamant in having her spend Mother’s Day with her. But now that she’s a mother with a grown adult of her own, she finally understands the true meaning of the day.

“Becoming a mother changed my life in every good way possible,” said Maitland. “It brought this baby who was a gift of love for a lifetime. It completed me as a woman and challenged me as a human to raise a contributing, responsible and epic new citizen of the world.

Beth also says that while there have been plenty of ups and downs, being a mother has been the most important role of her life. She wouldn’t change a thing about it, either. Isn’t that what many moms end up saying?

“I have learned gratitude, patience, unlimited forgiveness, unconditional love and the tremendous hope for the future that my life before a child could not give me,” continued the Emmy winner. “I have learned to trust in things I cannot see and especially the things in my daughter and all children that are pure and right and good!” Asked if she has a favorite Mother’s Day, Maitland isn’t one to look to the past. “Every next one is my favorite Mother’s Day,” she smiled. “Because to me, having children means the future — and waiting eagerly to see what comes next!”

Happy Mother’s Day to Beth Maitland and all of the wonderful moms out there who strive to do their best for their children each and every day. Put your feet up, relax, and enjoy your day!
