General Hospital Alum Meghan Markle Gives Birth To Baby Boy With Prince Charles!
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex first made the announcement on their Instagram account. Meghan Markle opted to give birth at home at Frogmore Cottage near Windsor Castle instead of St. Mary’s hospital in London. They wrote in a statement, “We are pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child in the early morning on May 6th, 2019. Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs 7lbs. 3oz.The Duchess and baby are both healthy and well, and the couple thank members of the public for their shared excitement and support during this very special time in their lives.”

Prince Harry then spoke to the media and said that he was “over the moon” and that both Meghan and the baby are doing incredibly well. “I’m so incredibly proud of my wife,” Harry said Monday. “And as every father and parent would ever say, you know, your baby is absolutely amazing, but this little thing is absolutely to die for. So I’m just over the moon.”
Baby Sussex is the fourth grandchild for Prince Charles and the eighth great-grandchild for Queen Elizabeth. The little tot shares a birthday close to his cousin Princess Charlotte, who turned 4 on May 2.
It’s also been noted that Baby Sussex will be the first mixed race child born into the royal family. As many fans already know, Meghan Markle was born to a white father and a black mother in Los Angeles.
So far the Duke and Duchess of Sussex haven’t shared any more details about their new royal bundle of joy or posted any photos on social media. Although it’s without a doubt that when it happens, royal fans are going to go into a frenzy!
