According to some sources, it’s been rumored that Ben Affleck is reportedly open for returning to a solo Batman film in the DCEU but he has one request, he wants creative control.
Affleck is already returning for new photography on HBO Max’s miniseries ‘Zack Snyder’s Justice League’ and is also going to appear in the new Flash film. So he’s obviously happy to play the caped crusader. I think they should definitely let him have creative control over the film. He is a two-time Oscar winner for writing! He has the ability and talent to do so.
This has been the main problem for the DCEU, which is studio interference. It waters down and cuts out things for what they think the audience will like instead of just letting us see the creator’s original vision.

HBO Max Rumors: Ben Affleck Open To Returning For A Batman Film If He Has Creative Control
Affleck was up for the film before but dropped out after “creative differences”. I’m a firm believer that they should let Snyder and Affleck take the reigns and create the shows and films they want to create. A Batman film from Ben Affleck could be very interesting and a huge hit. He’s responsible for the popular ‘The Town’ and won the Oscar for ‘Argo’.
With HBO Max letting Zack Snyder realize his original vision for ‘Justice League’, they should definitely let Affleck make his film. Fans all over the world are going to subscribe just for ‘Justice League’ and they could become the service for the DCEU.
