British Royal Family News says that Sweden’s Princess Sofia recently weighed in on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to leave the royal family, and whether she would ever do the same. Here’s what she has to say.

In an interview for Sweden’s TV4 documentary called, Princess Sofia: Project Playground, the beautiful brunette was asked if she ever considered cutting the cord on her working relationship with the Swedish royal family in the same way that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle did with Queen Elizabeth. While Princess Sofia did admit that there were certainly a lot of ups and downs, leaving royal life as she knows it never really crossed her mind.

The mother-of-two said, “No. Not really. I think I have found such a fantastic balance, and I really see it as a positive that I have made it through these stormy years. It is such a huge advantage, in that we have the opportunity to stand a little in both worlds.”

Princess Sofia, who became a household name thanks to her reality television stint, is married to Prince Carl Philip of Sweden. Together they have two children, 4-year-old Prince Alexander and 3-year-old Prince Gabriel.

Before marrying Prince Philip in 2015, Sofia worked as both a waitress and a model. During her teenage years, she volunteered as an aid worker in South Africa, Senegal and Ghana. The documentary was actually filmed in Cape Town back in January.

“Since I became a princess, I have been through many identity crises,” Sofia admitted. “Here in South Africa I have a type of identity, and when I come home, I have something else. Here I am allowed to be who I want to be.”

With that said, Princess Sofia did recall a huge public backlash she experienced when her relationship with the Duke of Varmland began making headlines.

She said, “When my relationship with Carl Philip became public, I was greeted by a huge hate storm. People had opinions about me and my relationship, and more. It surprised me and knocked me over for a period of time. It was very tough. People had comments on everything possible, on what I do and how I look.”

“The first thing I noticed about Carl Philip was that he seemed very humble,” said Sofia. “When I got to know him, I saw that he was incredibly natural, very intelligent and very humble.”
