The WWE Universe loves the draft when they come around every year, as it is often a way to press the reset button. Not only will there be new potential rivalries that could happen, but there will be superstars that will stand to benefit from competing for other championships that are on the different shows.
The draft has had a huge impact on certain superstars throughout history, and that promises to be the case once again when it finally happens at some point before the end of the year. But, which trades could we see happen this year?
WWE News: Aleister Black To SmackDown
There was huge anticipation for Aleister Black this year, as many believed this was going to be the year that he finally made a name for himself. However, it hasn’t really played out like that, as he has constantly been given a chance before the WWE change their mind.
He was among the favourites to win the Money in the Bank ladder match earlier in the year, before Otis ran out as the shock winner. That match epitomised what has been wrong with Black this year, as he hasn’t been given the opportunity to shine. A trade to SmackDown would give him a fresh impetus, and this looks like something that is certain to happen.
WWE News: Big E To Raw
Big E has been part of one of the most successful stables in WWE history, but he is set to embark on a singles run for the first time since joining the New Day. Injuries to Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods means that this is his time to shine, but whether he will be able to do that on SmackDown remains to be seen.
Braun Strowman will be facing The Fiend at SummerSlam for the Universal title, which means that there could be more worthwhile storylines for Big E by making a fresh start on Raw. There would certainly be intrigued in seeing McIntyre and Big E going one on one, which means that the trade could happen.
WWE News: Seth Rollins To SmackDown
Seth Rollins has been the face of Raw since 2014, but there are very few individual rivalries left on that show for Rollins. He has already feuded with Drew McIntyre and Kevin Owens this year, and is now in the middle of a heated rivalry with Rey Mysterio and his son Dominik. Once that story comes to an end, it would make sense for Rollins to have a fresh start, and there are a load of new rivalries that can be explored with Rollins on SmackDown.
