CBS ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers indicate that executive producer and head writer Bradley Bell is doing everything he can to outwit the coronavirus with tests, spouses, and blow up dolls and so far, it seems to be working. As a matter of fact, the B&B head honcho says that the show has been filming some very important and pivotal scenes with the help of the cast and their significant others. Here’s what you need to know.
In a new interview with the Associated Press, Bell says that the only way to avoid the cast from touching each other but still film intimate scenes is to have their spouses come in as stand ins. For example, in a recent scene, Katrina Bowden (Flo Fulton)’s real-life husband Ben Jorgensen came in to give her that all-important kiss after she was kidnapped and chained to a radiator. Jorgensen gave his wife a kiss while playing Darin Brooks’ stand in as his character, Wyatt Spencer. And believe it or not, it worked.

“It really called for a big embrace and a kiss,” Bell said in an interview with the site. “So once she was freed, we stopped tape, Katrina’s husband came in and they finished the scene. We see the back of his head, and I think it’s very convincing it’s really Darin.”
Katrina Bowden’s husband isn’t the only spouse who is giving a helping hand with all of the kissing and touching scenes. Don Diamont (Bill Spencer)’s wife Cindy is also reportedly on the set of the show helping out with the stand-ins, along with Denise Richards (Shauna Fulton)’s husband, Aaron Phypers, who will be standing in for Thorsten Kaye’s character, Ridge Forrester.
‘Bold and the Beautiful’ has been filming since the end of June while its sister soap The Young and the Restless is expected to begin filming next week Days of Our Lives announced they will begin filming again on September 1 while General Hospital is yet to set a date.
