Coronation Street spoilers have highlighted that there could be a dramatic few weeks for Maria Connor as her wedding edges ever closer. Maria and Gary Windass have been engaged for a number of months now, and it would appear as though Gary was going to be able to get married while keeping all his secrets hidden at the same time.
However, new spoilers have revealed that his past could catch up to him on his wedding day, which will leave Maria devastated. Maria would be forgiven for thinking that she may not ever actually get her happy ending in Weatherfield, and further devastation on another wedding day could leave her questioning choices that she has made.
Coronation Street Spoilers: Gary Windass Arrested On His Wedding Day
Viewers will be aware that Gary has been living with a dark secret for the past couple of months, after he killed Rick Neelan 12 months ago. He has been working hard to keep that secret hidden. But, it has become more challenging this year as Rick’s ex-wife and daughter have moved to Weatherfield and lawyers Adam Barlow and Imran Habeeb both sense that something isn’t right.
The two lawyers have been sniffing around Gary, and are getting closer to finding out the truth as Adam begins to try and get closer to Kelly’s mother. Adam has been giving the family money for the past year in order to keep his secret hidden, but could Rick’s body be found over the coming months, which will lead to everyone in Weatherfield pointing the finger of blame at Gary.
Coronation Street Spoilers: Maria’s Heartbreak In Weatherfield
Maria made her first appearance in the soap in 2000, and since then she has attracted the interest of numerous males in Weatherfield. Jason Grimshaw and Tyrone Dobbs both made their moves, but she instead got engaged to Liam Connor. The two went through heartbreak as Maria suffered a miscarriage, before Liam was killed.
Maria then had an ill-fated relationship with Tony Gordon, before then getting married to Pablo Duarte in order for him to gain a UK visa. However, she believed things were different this time and has believed that Gary is going to change. But, viewers are aware that he isn’t and it seems destined that the relationship will end in tears.
